2 x 50g balls Touch merino 8ply double knit yarn, we used 1 ball each of contrasting colours
boots: pair of straight 3.75mm needles plus a larger needle for casting off, optional decorative buttons
hat: pair of straight 3.75mm and 4mm (uk8 us6) needles OR 3.75mm and 4mm (us6 uk8) 30 cm circular needle and 4mm dpns to complete the crown decreases and a stitch marker
